Anastacia in the capital city

The singer with the incomparable soul voice is once again in Vienna. To be precise on 13th November at the Stadthalle. Anastacia celebrates her comeback with the resurrection tour after her second carcinosis. The 45 year old singer will perform current hits like “Stupid Little Thing” but also big hits like “One Day In Your Life” with an amazing show as usual. The concert was planned for 20th April this year but had to be cancelled because Anastacia was diagnosed in 2013 once again after over ten years with cancer. A strong comeback from a woman who does not give up. Tickets from € 69,70 you can get directly here at the Stadthalle and the Boutiquehotel Stadthalle offers the perfect room of course!

Room chooser: Accessible rooms world wide

Room chooser is a fantastic homepage for people who want to travel barrier-free and sleep in accessible rooms. Michael Sicher has created this website to make it easier for people with special needs to explore the world. He himself found it terribly exhausting to call up so many different hotels in order to find a suitable hotel room where you can fit in the lift or the shower with your wheelchair without a problem. The homepage room chooser is a new website which soon hopefully will not have many empty spaces on the world map without an accessible room left. To register your hotel room is fairly simple but it is even easier to explore it as a traveller. On the starting page you can click on “Would like to travel” to check out the different hotels at your destination. All listed rooms meet the minimum requirements: accessible without stairs, inner width of doors at least 80cm, elevator minimum measurements 100x130cm, sink has a ground clearance of at least 70cm, shower has no threshold. In order to choose the right room for you, you can tick different boxes of the list shown to your left. That way you can find […]

Loos Bar Vienna- The Original

What shall you do in the city of Vienna, which offers you sooooo many opportunities so you do not even know where to start first? We recommend, you look for a cool bar where you can sit down and chill with a nice cocktail, meanwhile you are planning the rest of the days you are here. The Loos American Bar is one of the best addresses in the city. It was designed by Mr. Adolf Loos, an arquitect with visions and a modern way of thinking, imported directly from the United States in 1908. It was a time where everything was different, during the time of the Austrian Emperor. The bar is unchanged until today and has still the timeless and shiny look from before. Considered an American Bar, it is a bit small but it is THE bar in Vienna which you should pay a visit without a doubt. These days the bar is landmarked which makes it even more special! For now over 20 years the bar is run by Marianne Kohn and a man only staff is responsible for the best cocktails ever tasted. Why there are only men behind the bar, nobody knows but one thing we […]

Sleep green in Vienna

Since mid March the Boutiquehotel Stadthalle offers 7 upcycling rooms in the main building, where guests can be inspired by amazing upcycling ideas and slumber totally eco-friendly! Old skis or wooden slats have been turned into wardrobes, old benchmarks were taken to make lamps extensible and old books have been used to make nice nightstands. Clothes won’t just be hung in a normal closet, but can be put into old suitcases and bent silverwear is fantastically used as a coat hook. Upcycling is basically upgrading useless material. The production of raw material is reduced hereby and not only is the use of energy is extremely decreasing, but also the emission of greenhouse gas is being reduced. Mrs. Hug stayed with us last month and has shared her experience in a wonderful blog post, which we do not want to keep from you! No matter in which of the 7 rooms one sleeps, there are many great ideas, which you can copy with a little bit of creativity at home, before you get rid of all the old boxes of odds and ends and take them to the flea market. Wanna snuggle in one of our upcycling rooms? No matter if […]
