Until the end of September, the outdoor season of the Viennese museum’s quarter, one of the greates culture areas in the world, will still take place. And also this year, the unique mix of museums, trendy restaurants and cafés and smaller culture initiatives turns the summer into a great adventure! We will inform you about what is offered:

Summer of Movement
This year’s motto reads “summer of movement” which is realized in the most diverse ways. For example, there is a boule area as well as manifold workshops that all have their focus on body toning, dancing and other sports. The highlight of 2017 probably is the playable sculpture park MQ Amore. Here, artists have created 12 sculptures which function as mini golf courses at the same time and therefore make art directly experienceable in an extraordinary manner. Moreover, the visitors can sing and dance along at the numerous open air concerts of the most different genres at the main court. But no worries – if you rather take it easy, you can chill out at the cozy pub gardens or in the modern relax-furnishing of the MQ.

Also the film festival Frame[o]ut dedicates itself every friday and saturday night from 21.30 to this year’s motto by showing many films that have the moved and moving consequences of public coexistence and political activism as a topic. Aside from that, a varied mixture of documentations, features and experimental works of the young generation is presented in the open air cinema. Every thursday from 20 o’clock, open air lectures from the most important novelties of the Austrian contemporary literature take place within the frame of the literature festival o-töne. And from the 11th until the 17th of September, it will get glamorous at the museum’s quarter! Local, but also international fashion designers present their latest creations at the annual MQ Vienna Fashion Week.
