History of the bicycle

2013 is the year of the bicycle!

In 2013 there are 2 important exhibitions to visit:
the exhibition “Motor bin ich selbst”, in the Vienna City Library, exposes materials from the collections of the history of cycling in Vienna. It takes place from the 7^th of June to the 31^st of October 2013.

The second exhibition “Tour du Monde”, in Mak, takes place from the 14^th of June to 6^th of October 2013. The Mak dedicates the exhibition to the history of the bicycle with the collection of Viennese architect Michael Embacher that includes legendary mass-produced models and creations from children’s bikes to athletic and leisure bikes, cargo bikes, and folding models.
Entry is free for children and adolescents up to 19 years, adults pay € 7.90, free Admission on Tuesdays 6–10 p.m.
