Christmas is over, the new year is not quite here, what to do with the old Christmas tree?
Not only in Viennese households Christmas trees are disposed currently, also Schönbrunn and the town halls large tree is being dismantled.
This year the Rangers produce something useful from the wood of the trees for the City of Vienna. The large City Hall tree is being processed to insect hotels.
About 10 bee hotels are placed in to the Vienna Woods, the Lobau and the Lainzer Animal Park.
Mainly wild bees, ladybugs and wasps find there a optimal habitat!
Certainly a welcome green snack, the Schönbrunn Christmas tree was feed last Monday at the Schönbrunnzoo to elephants, giraffes and rhinos.
So cute!!!
