The 48-year-old former Wham front man was in Vienna on Nov. 23, as part of his Symphonica tour, when he fell ill just a few hours before ShowTime. He was forced to cancel the Nov. 23 show as well as subsequent concert dates. But now he is back in Vienna on Tuesday September 4th.
Everyone knows George Michael. Or at least they do believe. He is a global icon, an international artist of the highest order, which has sold more than 100 million albums. He has topped charts from Austria to Australia. He’s sold-out stadiums from Tokyo to Tampa..
With this tour, George Michael will strike a new path. Not only will he and his symphony orchestra perform carefully selected songs from George Michael’s own career of over three decades: for the first time, the set list also includes hits by other musicians. The music will be adapted and newly arranged for the orchestra that accompanies him to every gig. The new, classical arrangement will add numerous nuances to every song and highlight different facets of sound. It will be indisputably George Michael – but from a concert side we haven’t heard before. Just a few walking minutes from the concert venue is our hotel “Boutiquehotel Stadthalle” Stay with us and enjoy the concert.
