Vienna’s ball season 2012

Vienna is not only known for its coffee culture, Sachertorte and the Lippizzaner, but it is also popular for the many glamorous balls.

More than 300 take place each year from November to March when the city of waltz enjoys long nights in luxurious surroundings. The highlights of the ball season take place in January and February offering programmes for the young and the older generations.

The Kaffeesiederball (10.February 2012) offers a particular atmosphere. Around 5000 visitors dance through the night at Wiener Hofburg and its beautiful ballroom – Redoutensaal. We are offering a special package to make your night at Hofburg a special one.

The sweetest of all ball nights is the Bonbon Ball at the Vienna Konzerthaus. It will take place on the 17th of February 2012 and is well known for its humorous and informal atmosphere.

The major highlight of the ball season is definately the Opera ball on the 16th of February 2012. Once a year Vienna’ opera house is turned into the most famous ballroom of the world and hosts one of the most important events in Vienna. You can meet politicians, artists, society VIPs and simple people there. The opera ball is broadcast on TV in many countries.
