Boutique Hotel with Lavender Roof
We planted Lavender on the roofs of our hotel for a simple reason: we love it.
Its distinctive smell and lilac colour, together with the humming bees and enchanting presence of butterflies, creates a unique and rural atmosphere in the heart of Vienna. During lavender blossom in June our guests can marvel over the
Lavender lavender roof in full bloom, dotted with red roses. Some hotel rooms even have a direct view on this sea of flowers.
Every year we harvest and dry our carefully-tended lavender from our hotel garden for our guests to take home as bath essences, sachets and other lavender gifts.
Did you know that the word lavender has its origin in the Latin word "lavare", meaning "to wash"? Its name refers to its use in bath essences and oils over the centuries.
