Green idea of the month: Upcycling
Upcycling is converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.
The term „upcycling“ was used for the first time in an article of Salvo - a British magazine - in 1994.
The goal of upcycling is to prevent wasting useful materials by making use of existing ones: this reduces not only the consumption of new raw materials when creating new products but also air and water pollution and even greenhouse gas emissions.
We are proud to present our new extravagant rooms! The 7 renovated “upcycling” rooms can be booked in our Boutique Hotel Stadthalle from mid-March.
Here some ideas of what you might find in our upcycling rooms:
skis or wooden boards are now wardrobes, yardsticks are used for wall lamps, books are turned into nice tables and bent cutlery can wonderfully be used as coat hooks.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in our new rooms! They really are an experience!
