Thanks to our zero-energy balance, Boutique Hotel Stadthalle was the first hotel in Vienna awarded with the EU eco-label, an award for tourism businesses who meet the strictest criteria by limiting their impact on the environment.

Low energy design keeps our Boutique Hotel self-sustaining

The foundation for our zero-energy hotel is a sophisticated concrete structure through which integrated water pipes facilitate water circulation, cooling and heating the whole building.

More than 200 m² of solar and photovoltaic panels provide self-sustaining energy to the whole hotel. We use rain water for everyday needs like tending our hotel garden or the flushing the toilets in our bathrooms, while our fresh drinking water is revitalized by a blend of natural stones.

Environmental awareness at our hotel does not stop at low energy design or the use of green technology:

We air-condition naturally, thanks to our roof-top lavender and rose garden.
We prevent and separate waste.
