Photovoltaic system At eco-friendly Hotel Stadthalle, environmental awareness has top priority. Depending on the weather, our 160 m² of solar panels heat up enough hot water to supply the entire hotel with renewable energy.
Large cisterns collect rain water from the roof, which we use to tend our unique hotel garden and lavender roof, which is Vienna’s largest lavender plantation.
During summer in Vienna you are welcome to start your day with a hearty breakfast in the garden, watching fragrant lavender and rose bushes sway.
Even our drinking water is refreshingly different from what you would expect in a city hotel: it keeps getting vitalised through the use of a blend of natural stones. And that is renewable energy in the best sense, wouldn’t you agree?
The EU surely does. Hotel Stadthalle was the first eco-friendly hotel in Vienna which was awarded with the European eco-label.
