Earth Hour
21. MrzEarth Hour is a worldwide event organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and held towards the end of March annually, encouraging people to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.
Also this year the world’s best-known landmarks remain unlighted to help symbolically the environment between 08.30 p.m. and 09.30 p.m.
WWF calls on all Austrians not only to turn off the lights for an hour but also to set a personal sign for the environment: for example, switching to LED lamps bulbs, eating less meat, buying more organic products or turning your thermostat down at least 2-4 degrees.
Boutique Hotel Stadthalle is going to be part of Earth Hour 2013. We will switch off the lights in our hotel lobby from 8.30pm to 9.30pm this Saturday.
Why don’t you join in as well? Turn off the lights and enjoy the candle-light atmosphere for one hour
LED candles are available at the reception.
