We all love lavender, not only for its colour and beauty, but also for its medical effects. Lavender can be used as a relaxant, it helps if you have difficulty to fall asleep and it works against migraine.
If you are looking for an ideal gift for your loved ones at home, or if you just want to treat yourself you can find a great variety of handmade lavender products here at the hotel. Find something to stimulate all your senses!
If you are into tasting lavender we offer the following products: lavender chocolate, lavender jelly, lavender jelly with champagne and gold, lavender sirup (very good for sweetening up your champagne).

Vienna’s first boat taxi has operated for just over a year now and becomes more and more popular. Whether you need an ordinary ride by taxi-boat or whether you plan a romantic boat tour or whether you need an extraordinary meeting place for your foreign business partner, the boat taxi can be rented any time. You can also host a party on the MS Skorpion for up to 20 people daily from 2pm to midnight and choose yourself how long you wish to tour along the Danube and its channel and where the tour should take you. Beach feeling in the midst of Vienna! Sand in the city is one of the places to be in summer in Vienna. The location, which serves as an ice-skating rink during winter, is turned into a large beach as soon as the first rays of warm sunlight start showing in spring. There are several food stands offering food from all over the world, cocktails are ice-cold and yummy, chairs and sunbeds are inviting and there are even two beach volleyball courts. This year they also built a children’s playground to entertain even the youngest of visitors.
Admission is free of charge. Sand in the city is open daily from 2pm to midnight. You can reach it by tube U4 Stadtpark, exit Johannesgasse.
Address: Lothringerstr.22, 1030 Vienna

Summer in Vienna is just as exciting as going on holidays. There are numerous events taking place that can make every summer day a very special one. Vienna’s open air cinemas are part of them. There are lots of locations that show films outdoors, choose whether you prefer to sit on the roof of the main library, in front of Rathaus or close to the Danube. Here is a list of Vienna’s open air cinemas and links to the films they show (many of them are shown in the original version with subtitles=OmU). Enjoy your warm days outdoors!!

…in Vienna’s public transport network
Since some of the buses cruising Vienna, will soon have to be replaced, Vienna’s public transport company Wiener Linien is looking for new, environmentally friendly and sustainable, replacements. In the next couple of weeks several models of electric buses will be tested in the city centre. Buses number 3A and 2A are currently new electro buses operated by battery, made by the Italian company Rampini. The buses fit up to 44 passangers.
It is summer again and we all want to escape the city’s heat. Here are some ideas of where to go to go swimming in Vienna.
Our front-desk team went to try out the restaurant next door; A high-class Croatian- Mediterranean restaurant, focusing on fish cuisine and exquisite food creations. The restaurant has got a cozy atmosphere and a small area to sit outside. The service was excellent. We felt well informed and advised by the friendly waiters. Their fish is always fresh and is delivered straight from Croatia 3x a week.
