The Danube Island is the most popular recreational area of Vienna.
Not only the visitors enjoy the nature of the island for walking, cycling, jogging, skating and beach volleyball games, they also like the idyllic beaches to swim.
The island also invites to the SUNKEN CITY, which is open from May to September. There you find bars, clubs and restaurants by the water front: festivals, live events or sports activities take place regularly. You can enjoy the enchanting atmosphere on the Danube Island even if the weather is not ideal, because many places are covered!
A visit promises relaxation, fun and action for the whole family.
But if you want to enjoy a Danube view, you can directly book a “Panoramic City Tour with Boat Ride” on the Danube and the Danube Canal.

In the cozy evening hours you can watch lovely classics or new blockbuster movies in the open-air cinemas, such as the “cinema under the stars“ at Karlsplatz or the highest open-air cinema of the city, at the roof of the Main library or many others.
So instead of spending the day in front of the television, it is worth to visit the different outdoor cinemas. Every cinema has its own individual atmosphere. The entry is up to 7€ but some cinemas are for free.
To end the evening even more pleasantly, you can enjoy a cold beer or a lavenderspritzer in our garden at Boutiquehotel Stadthalle.
Here you find the program and the address of the outdoor cinemas.
The wedding – for many the most beautiful day of their lives: A happy get-together of family, relatives and the closest friends; a big celebration with a lot of dancing, drinking and having fun.
However, such big events are usually not environmentally friendly and ecological. But now there are so-called: “green weddings” or “ecological wedding”. In a green wedding, the ceremony as well as the festivity are planned to minimize their environmental impact through eco-friendly alternatives.
Such an ecological event reduces the carbon footprint and you can often save at the same time.
For the flower arrangements, it is the best to turn to “slow flower” plants for instance „vom Hügel“,the invitation cards can be made of natural paper and the caterer or the restaurant could serve local and organic products. Probably the most important for the bride is the wedding dress. Why not simply take the Grandma’s wedding dress and reshape or leave it in retro style?
