Fabelhafte Hotels (fabulous hotels)
29. FebYesterday the press conference of fabulous hotels “Fabelhafte Hotels” took place in Vienna. A press conference that was anything but ordinary. The actress Gigga Neunteufel presented 8 very fabulous Austrian hotels in a very fabulous way.
An energy-independent hotel in the middle of the metropolis Vienna (Boutiquehotel Stadthalle), hotel rooms high above the trees (Baumhotel), a farm that offers dinner in the extravagant stable (Kleinsasserhof), living in an arts gallery in Carinthia (art-Lodge), a castle of knights (Schloss Altenhof), a hotel designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser (Rogner Bad Blumau), living like an earl in apartments in a castle (Schlosshotel Mailberg) or enjoy a large playroom that became a hotel (Spiele-Buchhotel Tschitscher). Isn’t this fabulous?
These unique hotels founded the group “Fabelhafte Hotels” in order to show Austria’s creativity and diversity in the hotel industry. The group’s hotels do not have anything in common except that they are all individual and exceptional. Each of the hotels offers special experiences and inspiring moments. Holidays in one of the Fabelhafte Hotels means holidays to tell stories about.
Enjoy a few photos of the hotels. The photos of the press conference will be posted soon!

STOMP – a show of rhythm
18. Dez
STOMP is a show of 8 individual strong personalities whose main common interest is rhythm. Their tightly choreographed shows are stunning and the rhythm that is created with items that can be found on the street, in a building, on a construction site such as garbage bins combined with creative and active moves.
Viennese coffee culture
25. NovOrdering a coffee in Vienna requires a bit of expertise, because of the numerous types of coffee. Try a “Melange” (espresso with milk and milk froth), a “Verlängerter” (espresso with hot water, milk separately), a “kleiner Brauner” (espresso with milk) or a “Einspänner” (small mocca served in a glass with whipped cream) … coffee in Vienna is definitely an experience.
One of the most beautiful cafés in Vienna is Café Central in Herrengasse. You can enjoy your coffee and one of the delicious pastries while listening to piano music. Typical Viennese café tradition!
One of the oldest Cafés is Café Hawelka. It is situated in the centre of Vienna in Dorotheergasse. This Café is pure history. Since its opening in 1939 nothing has changed. Try out the “Buchteln” a typical Viennese dessert!
We can also highly recommend Café Jelinek. The Café is located in the vicinity of Mariahilferstraße and has a particular flair. The furniture is all vintage and it is full of paintings! The homemade cakes are excellent.
Café Phil is one of the “in“ places to visit, it is located in Gumpendorferstraße, as well as the Café Europe in Zollertstraße. Both Cafés are individually designed and furbished and have a great choice of food on their menu.
Christmas markets in Vienna
18. NovThe time has come! Days are getting shorter, it is definitely much colder now and slowly the smell of Christmas cookies and mulled wine is filling the atmosphere.
Advent will be here soon and with it, all the many beautiful Christmas markets in Vienna! While the little ones can enjoy warm chestnuts, the older ones can warm up with a glass of Punsch or mulled wine.
